12 Quick And Easy Mini Cleaning Projects For The Holidays.
  1. Clean the remotes.
  2. When was the last time you cleaned your remotes? Gather all of your remote controls for TVs, stereos, fans, and so on, and give them a thorough cleaning. Pay close attention to the areas surrounding the buttons.
  3. Wipe Down the Coffee Table.
  4. It’s time to get rid of all the old catalogs and magazines that have accumulated on and beneath the coffee table. To remove any remaining coffee signs or stains, wipe the surface with a strong cleaner. Pick up some fresh flowers and a cute accent piece, and voila! Spring has arrived.
  5. Thoroughly clean the kitchen sink.
  6. To begin, pour some baking soda and lemon juice down the drain and let it sit while you clean the rest of the sink and faucet with a sponge and dish soap. Pay special attention to the area around the drain and other crevices where grime accumulates. When you’re finished, rinse the sink and pat everything dry with a soft hand towel.
  7. Clean the Microwave.
  8. A cup of hot water and half a lemon will get rid of all the spots and splatters in your microwave. Heat the mixture for about 2-3 minutes on high, then set it aside for a few minutes before soaking a soft cloth or sponge in it. For best results, remove the turntable, and get all the nooks and crannies.
  9. Soak the shower head in water.
  10. If your shower head is covered in mineral deposits, it will not be able to reach its full water-spouting potential. This requires a vinegar soak. Fill a plastic bag with white vinegar and place it over the showerhead. Allow it to soak for about a half hour, fully submerged, before running the shower to rinse.
  11. Organize Your Nightstand.
  12. You probably let water glasses, hair ties, reading materials, and other trinkets accumulate on your bedside table. While it was convenient at the time, it is now just taking up space and cluttering your room. Clear it away and clean it with a damp microfiber cloth.
  13. Start the washing machine’s cleaning cycle.
  14. Even your washing machine requires a thorough cleaning. Fortunately, it can clean itself. Run your machine on the “clean” cycle if it has one without any laundry in it. If not, select the hottest wash cycle and, if possible, an additional rinse cycle. Fill the bleach dispenser with your preferred cleaner and press the start button. If you were unable to add an additional rinse cycle, repeat the rinse cycle.
  15. Get Rid of Old Beauty Products.
  16. Those “maybe I’ll just keep this in case I need it” beauty products may have gone bad. Toss any items that have passed their expiration date, and if they don’t, ask yourself when the last time you used it. Declutter and lighten your makeup bag by keeping only what you truly need and enjoy using. Your makeup bag or case could also benefit from a quick wash.
  17. Sort through your books.
  18. If your winter was filled with bedtime stories and afternoon reads, your bookshelves might be in need of some organization. Gather books and magazines from around the house and neatly arrange them on your shelves in some sort of system. They’ll be easier to find for you and your grandchildren the next time they visit.
  19. Polish the stainless steel.
  20. Let’s make this surface sparkle once more! Combine a teaspoon of dish detergent and a quart of hot tap water. Rub the solution in small sections with a cloth, going with the grain. Rinse with hot water and immediately dry for a gleaming shine!
  21. Clean the furniture.
  22. Your vacuum’s upholstery tool is ideal for cleaning your sofas and chairs. Remove the cushions and vacuum both sides, then use the crevice tool to clean along the stitching and trim. Then, for a nice, scented finishing touch, spray everything with febreze!
  23. Clean the Vents.
  24. Locate all of your home’s small air conditioning vents and heating ducts and make them your next target. Use the soft brush on your vacuum to remove any remaining dust so that it does not circulate throughout your home.

A few minor cleaning tasks can make a big difference, so set aside a few minutes each day to freshen up your home for the holidays!
